Opened in 1990, the TGV Atlantique (high-speed train) places Bordeaux 3 hours from Paris and 5 hours from Lille. The line also goes to Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle airport, highly practical for international flights leaving from Paris.
Bordeaux station is the country’s third largest after those in Lyon and Marseilles.
